About Maira
I am a 4th year UBC student, studying Psychology and English. I bring both skill and heart to tutoring English. I’ve always excelled at reading and writing, and I love finding ways to make language come alive for students. What sets me apart is my patience, positivity, and ability to connect with kids on their level. I know that every child learns differently, so I create a comfortable, encouraging space where they feel supported to ask questions and try their best. I’m dependable, creative, and genuinely invested in seeing my students succeed—not only by improving their grades, but also by building lasting confidence in their English skills.
