I am currently a college student going into the British Army. I have always had a passion for English which many people find bizarre as they think it can be a relatively boring subject. I may agree with that however, I have the ability to ensure that by the end of the lesson, you will find a little love for the subject.

I have just finished my GCSE's and received A*'s in both English language and literature, which means that I am able to speak,read and write in English at an advanced level. I teach students that are up to high school level. The way I come about teaching a lesson, is by making it as simple as possible, which ensures that the students can understand the task. I like to break up questions and command words to make sure that the student knows what they have to do in order to gain full marks in that question yet still have enough time to check over their work. I approach every topic slowly and carefully, explaining it as simple as possible, as sometimes many questions can be challenging to understand. I let students know what information is necessary and what information is irrelevant, in order to avoid them wasting time in an exam. I like to be more friendly and informal when teaching children of this age because I find that it makes them, feel more comfortable and eases them into the lesson faster.
