About Laura
I am OCT Certified and been teaching in the public board for over 5 years. In addition, I have provided private tutoring for the past six years (children aged 4- 15). I am fluent in the Ontario Curriculum which is useful while tutoring as I know what your child needs to know for each subject strand. I have additional qualifications in Language, (Level Literacy Intervention Certified), Mathematics and Special Education.

When it comes to finding a tutor for your child you have many choices, so what makes me different from other private tutors. During the first tutoring session I learn how your child learns (visual, auditory, kinesthetics), what they are interested in, their strengths and weakness. I also, chat with you,(their parent) to find I want your goals are with having your child tutored. After gaining all this information I adapt the lessons to your child’s level and needs. I provide a lesson that is engaging and fun, so that your child doesn’t realize they are learning. Whenever, possible I incorporate games into my lessons.
