About Gareth
Across my seven years of teaching, I have had the opportunity to teach across the breadth of education. This includes teaching in Key Stage 2, teaching overseas, and most recently within a College teaching Functional Skills, Health & Social Care, and supporting students both in groups and on a 1 to 1 basis. My involvement in College has covered student reviews, target setting, and developing skills in spoken and written English. I enjoy helping people of all abilities succeed. Helping to raise educational achievements gives me great satisfaction and feeds my passion for education.

My experience has reinforced that students learn best and succeed in a happy, well-managed and stimulating environment. I pride myself on using humour and kindness to create an atmosphere that welcomes everyone - a person learns best when they are enjoying themselves, and provide outstanding results. I am able to tailor my delivery to suit the needs of all learners. My feedback encourages students to take pride in their own work, gives them practical next steps and provides me with useful insights into the next part of the learning journey. I can quickly develop professional connections with students, able to motivate, advise and support them emotionally and practically to help gain maximum benefit from their sessions.
