With 15 years of experience as a professional audio engineer and music producer, my career has been defined by a passion for sonic exploration and technical precision. Having spent over a decade and a half working in commercial studio environments alongside iconic, genre-defining acts like The Brian Jonestown Massacre and A Place to Bury Strangers, I understand what it takes to bring a creative vision to life and achieve a release-ready sound.

My journey in music production has taught me that high-end gear matters far less than a deep understanding of your tools. Today, my mission is to take the advanced techniques, analogue workflows, and acoustic principles I've mastered in commercial studios and translate them into actionable, easy-to-understand skills you can use right from your home setup in Logic Pro.

As a tutor, I pride myself on professionalism, patience, and clear communication. I know how intimidating a complex DAW can look when you are starting out or upgrading from GarageBand. Because of this, I foster a supportive, ego-free learning environment where no question is too small. About the lesson

Learning a DAW should be creative and hands-on. My methodology centres around project-based learning and workflow efficiency. Instead of just memorising what buttons do, we work on actual tracks. My lessons rely heavily on real-time screen-sharing and audio streaming, allowing you to watch my workflow or have me guide you through yours.

I bring 15 years of professional, real-world studio experience directly to our sessions. Over the last decade and a half, I have worked engineering and producing tracks in professional studios alongside award-winning, genre-defining acts like The Brian Jonestown Massacre and A Place to Bury Strangers.

My career has been spent in the trenches of professional studios, bridging the gap between raw creative energy and high-end audio engineering. Having spent 15 years navigating complex analogue signal paths, tape machines, and acoustic environments for world-class artists, I know exactly how to translate those physical, big-studio techniques straight into Logic Pro.

I’ve spent a decade and a half troubleshooting technical roadblocks on active, high-pressure sessions so that musicians could focus entirely on their performance. I bring that exact same practical, problem-solving mindset to our lessons. Having engineered records from scratch, mixed complex multi-tracks, and optimised various room setups, I cut through the confusing internet jargon and teach you the exact, field-tested routing habits and acoustic principles I use daily to make digital tracks sound rich, warm, and competitive.

My Core Techniques

The "Stock Plugin First" Rule: I focus on mastering Logic’s built-in tools before you waste money on expensive third-party plugins.

The Workflow Audit: I teach you the key commands, template setups, and signal routing tricks that cut your production time in half.

Constructive Mix Feedback: You bring your active project files to the lesson, and we mix or arrange them together live so you can hear the immediate impact of every choice.

Lesson Structure & Length

A standard session is 60 minutes, which is the ideal length for a structured breakdown or a deep-dive mixing class.

First 5–10 Mins: Review your progress, troubleshoot any roadblocks you hit during the week, and set the goal for the day.

Next 40–45 Mins: Core practical application (e.g., building a beat, tuning vocals, or arranging a track live).

Final 5 Mins: Wrap-up, Q&A, and setting a clear, actionable goal for you to practice before our next session.
