Fiona is a published writer/PhD scholar/educator with 12 years of experience in teaching English to IB, ICSE and CBSE students. She has mentored over 120 young writers in the art of Creative writing to become published authors. Wrote as a guest writer at Women's web for over 10 years. Worked as a Feature writer for WE magazine. Winner of Orange Flower Awards 2018 (Creative Writing, Jury's Choice). Fiona primarily teaches writing and English through an amalgamation of LSRW skills development by inculcating an ardent interest in reading (LSRW: Listening Speaking Reading Writing) She does not believe in teaching traditional Grammar through rote learning but believes in a more practical way of introducing grammar through an introduction of age-wise (and age-appropriate!) and interest-based student reading material. She believes that by creating a voracious reader in a student, a teacher (or a parent) can easily unlock the hidden potential of the student to comprehend the language, understand the nuances of any text provided in a classroom context and converse fluently and create space for the student to be better writers, academically and creatively.
