I teach lessons in a calm and relaxed manner focusing on learner needs. I utilise a variety of teaching methods such as PowerPoints, note taking, knowledge organisers and metacognitive learning. I focus primarily on using exam questions and past papers to learn exam skills. For younger students, I focus on developing reading and writing skills and techniques to aid progress and development.

Shummi is brilliantly articulate and engaging tutor. She is very knowledgeable and experienced and has the ability to adapt her lessons accordingly to my daughter’s mood and autistic needs. She is incredibly patient and nurturing and takes her time with my daughter making sure the lessons are enjoyable but packed with information. My daughter has never felt overwhelmed and loves engaging with her tutor, especially with creative writing.
I would recommend Shummi as your tutor, as she is patient and kind. She has helped me a lot with my English and I have learnt many new techniques from her. You will also get a good laugh with her. I believe she is the best. ◡̈
