About Jen

I was lucky enough to know exactly what I wanted to do in life: teach! I am passionate about learning and believe that with the right teacher you can succeed and excel in English, even if you have found it challenging in the past. I taught full time as an English teacher for 11-18 year olds from 2008 - 2014. During this time, I was promoted to second in department for English and also became Head Media Studies, teaching both GCSE and A Level. I was also a personal tutor during this time at the weekends. In 2014 I became a stay at home mum to my twins and after a year of maternity leave, I joined Tutor fair. I began tutoring students in preparation for their English Language, Literature and Media GCSE and A Level exams and since then I have assisted others who were: learning English as their second language, requiring extra support whilst at primary school, requiring help with A Level and Undergraduate essay writing, needing some facilitation with creative writing - and a whole host of other English Language and Literature requirements. Please do contact me if you are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and conscientious tutor and we can organise and plan a set of bespoke lessons to fit your needs. Understanding my students’ personal requirements is so important to me and I always tailor my lessons to make them interesting and specific for each individual.

About the lesson

Prior to my lessons, I plan meticulously with each student’s individual needs, interests and academic abilities in mind. Furthermore, not only do I wish to provide challenging and engaging lessons but it is equally important to me that all of my students enjoy their sessions and feel proud of each and every achievement.

She has a deep and comprehensive teachinhg materials, innovative use of online resources to help teach and a lovely friendly manner which helped all 3 of my children to learn and grow.
