About Sam

I am as of yet inexperienced, and am hoping to get the opportunity to start up as a tutor. I believe I have the necessary qualifications to tutor fellow students of literature, and now I hope to be able to build up some experience tutoring in order to look to my future.

About the lesson

I am new to tutoring, having recently graduated, and hope to cultivate a teaching style which puts the perspective of the student first. I hope to promote creative, critical and independent thinking, in order not only to explore individual texts and issues but also to give students the critical apparatus to approach any text.

I cannot stress how helpful Sam has been! I looked for a tutor when I needed a GCSE tutor to help me pass English. Not only did sam help me to pass my English GCSE (which got me into uni!) but he also helped to ignite a love of reading I didn’t know I had, it is now a genuine hobby and it definitely stems back from Sam’s lessons. He was so engaging and it was nice to have an engaging discussion and then Sam would direct it back to the syllabus without me even realising, it’s a really clever learning style that worked so well for me. He was always punctual, engaging but most importantly he was encouraging and supportive throughout and above all else I got the grades I needed! Thanks for everything Sam!
