Jayne is a very thoughtful tutor and, according to my son, is very easy to get on with. Her approach has been supportive, encouraging and patient. Never did I think my 14-year-old son would engage with lessons and get so much out of them. His confidence has increased, he is happier and the difference has been noticed by his teachers. Jayne is absolutely fabulous as both a teacher and confidence builder. My son Jack was facing his GCSE exams and was getting anxious about his English skills. He is a non-reader and aside from his lessons in school, he asked for some help in understanding the literature coupled with his creative writing skills. Jayne completely turned this around for Jack, ultimately bringing out his confidence and enjoyment in the literature by Shakespeare and Dickens, bringing it to life and relatable in his mind. He began to understand the subtle meanings in the quotes and was able to feel good about his exams/assessments. Jack was happy each week to learn with Jayne virtually, making it fun and as such, his teacher in school very quickly was praising Jack with his input in class, again, helping him build his confidence. Jayne`s skills and support have been priceless for him, worth every minute and penny, as her expertise in exams etc has meant that Jack has felt he has given it, overall his best shot. I shall update this with Jack`s exam result in 2 months' time. I look forward to having Jayne`s support in the future for Jack`s younger brother. Thank you Jayne, one in a million!”

I've just graduated with a First Class MA English Literature, having already and taken a BA (Hons) English Literature, and I would not have been able to complete either of these degrees without the amazing guidance of my mum, Jayne. I have seen my mum in action teaching classrooms full of excited pupils, and I never fail to be astonished by her talent. As a holistic teacher, Jayne immediately recognises exactly what a pupil needs to be the best they can be, from recommending summer reading lists to pupils to offering out-of-hours guidance and feedback.
