About Jonathan
I have written and led courses at university, as well as studied in four different universities. I love learning the past, and am very passionate about encouraging a love for education amongst my students. At this point I have spent nearly half of my life at university - and spent last year working as the cook of a care home, just to remind myself of the 'real world'! I have done humanitarian work in many different countries, but teaching is my professional calling. Many of my students have been older than me, and I have a particular love for mature students (both of my own parents went back to university in later life). I have also lived all over the world, and am very enthusiastic to work with international students, including those to whom English is a second language.

I provide highly personalised lessons, depending on the requirements of the student. I usually lecture/tutor university students, but I can cater for other levels. Looking after the wellbeing of my students is important for me, as I have a background working in mental health, and my tutoring sessions can be as formal or as informal as preferred. I have significant experience with essay writing and dissertations, but I can also help with homework, examination preparation or developing a better understanding of your preferred topics. I will be working from home for the next year, and offer flexible scheduling to accommodate busy schedules.
