About Amadea
As a university student with a passion for the humanities and social sciences, I understand both the subject content and the study skills required for academic success. Having achieved four A grades at A Level and previously supported fellow students while studying these subjects myself, I am familiar with the challenges learners may face and how to help them overcome them. As someone with ADHD, I also appreciate that every student learns differently and can adapt my teaching approach to suit a range of learning styles and needs. I am able to explain complex ideas clearly, encourage critical thinking, and help students build confidence in their abilities. I am patient, reliable, and committed to helping each student reach their full potential while improving their understanding, academic performance, and enjoyment of learning.

I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs, goals, level, and preferred learning style. Before beginning, I take the time to discuss these with each student to ensure lessons are as effective and beneficial as possible. My priority is to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with challenging ideas. I focus on developing a strong understanding of key concepts, while helping students build the critical thinking, analytical, and evaluative skills necessary for academic success. I also focus on essay writing, argument development, and exam technique. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and may include discussion, clear explanations of complex concepts, exam-style questions, revision strategies, and detailed feedback on written work. My lessons are primarily aimed at A-Level students studying Psychology, Philosophy, Ethics, Religious Studies or related subjects.
