About Rebecca
I am a mother of two boys, a sister to three brothers and I have two nephews! All in all, i spend my life surrounded by boys. i am happy to teach Key Stage Two preparing for the 11+, Key Stage Three, Key Stage Four Language and Literature and Key Stage Five Literature or English combined. I have a First Class honours degree in English Literature and QTS. But, in all honesty, my teaching experience comes from being an examiner for AQA and Eduqas and working 1:1 and in small groups. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my children, family and friends and spending time abroad.

I have taught English for the past 14 years. I was promoted to Second in English in my NQT year and Head of English in my second year of teaching. I have been Head of English at an International School and at the largest Secondary School in Lancashire. I have supported children of all abilities. In more recent years, I have been an Assistant Headteacher working in a challenging context. Whilst I love teaching, the mainstream classroom is not the place for me anymore. I can teach all abilities, and I mostly enjoy working with disaffected boys. I love Literature, so I am happy to work with any examination board and any texts. If, by any chance, it is a text I am unfamiliar with - I will happily research and plan accordingly.
