About Dorothy
I have a BA in Exceptional Student Education, so I know how to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of every learner. When teaching, I have had students from other countries in my class. Many of them were labeled as ESE when they were not, they just didn't understand English as well as they needed to in order to function in a regular education classroom.

I believe in the "I do, we do, you do" method. Students in my class have ample time to practice before they are given an assessment. If students do not understand, I use props, videos, and TPR to help them understand the content. I am very patient and believe every child can learn. Positive reinforcement is something I do a lot of in my class.
