About Catherine
I am a mother of 2 teenagers and I am looking to change career now my children are older and more independent. I have a passion for helping students maximise their potential and achieve their learning goals. I have worked in schools and trained new colleagues in my current job. I am looking to train as a teacher after I have completed my degree so I offer the benefit of current methodologies around teaching and learning. As a current student myself I have a unique perspective of the challenges and requirements of my students.

My lessons will be engaging and relevant to student needs with an element of fun to keep students motivated. Their will be set goals that are challenging but achievable that students will be involved in setting to ensure they are getting what they need from the lessons. Typically lessons are half an hour long but they can be longer or shorter depending on student needs. I have an A level equivalent qualification in English Literature and Teaching studies, am currently working towards a degree in English Language and Literature and was a learning support assistant for children with special educational needs for 5 years. My lessons can be adapted for young children right through to adults.
