About Asha
I am a first year English Literature student at the University of Leeds. I've been tutoring informally for three years and have helped my students develop their confidence in essay writing and literary analysis. I am very familiar with the new English Literature GCSE and A Level examinations as I was the part of the first cohort to take these new exams.

Depending on the needs of my students, I base my lessons on either essay writing or close reading to help develop and understanding of the text itself and the requirements of the exam. I help my students break down their own writing and the mark scheme to come up with the best way of writing that works for them. With the new closed-book exams, memorisation of quotations and a very in-depth understanding of set texts is essential, I do my best to help my students to truly understand the text by reading together and breaking it down into bite-sized and easily understandable chunks.
