About Linda
I began teaching English to Foreign students in 2000 and have worked as a Support Teaching Assistant in secondary schools. I have just gained my BA Hons Degree in Classical Studies with the Open University and will be undertaking Masters in October. My recent studies with the Open University has been conducted primarily online and therefore I can attest to the benefits of this medium. My academic skills are up-to-date, and of a standard that enables me to undertake a Masters Degree. This would be beneficial for any potential student as my skills will be constantly upgraded and refined with regard to the latest learning techniques. I have supported students within the secondary school environment ,through my role as a Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Worker. This valuable experience allows me to offer individual support and a positive learning experience to students of various academic levels.

I take an individual approach and focus on the students needs and ambitions by undertaking an assessment at the beginning and regular evaluation. I use a patient, fun and creative approach with great attention to detail. I prefer to teach English at Secondary level or English as a Foreign Language Beginner - Intermediate. Recently qualified I am up-to-date with the latest virtual learning techniques. My academic background in Classical Studies, Greece and Rome , along with Religious Studies and English Literature , equips me with valuable learning and teaching skills. A Learning Support Officer within secondary education I appreciate and understand the challenges of an academic syllabus.
