I am an experienced English teacher, with over 10 years teaching experience in various teaching environments. I have experience teaching English as a second language both in person and online. I enjoy one-one and small group tutoring and my classes have helped students build confidence and achieve academic goals. As a GCSE English literature examiner, I have in-depth knowledge of what is required to obtain a desired result on English examinations.

I strive to build a student's confidence so they can learn how to become successful without self-doubt. I apply a growth-mindset to my lessons so students will persist in achieving outstanding results. With lower level students, I give them a realistic view of what they can hope to achieve and the tools needed to get there. I also place importance on revision techniques and tips.

Our son has made wonderful progress and has found the lessons with Alicia hugely beneficial. Group class rates are £20 per student, maximum 3 students per session. 24 hours notice is given to cancel or change the lesson time/date. If less than 24 hours notice is given, or in the case of a no-show, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
