About Cara
I am entering my second year studying English Literature at the University of Exeter, and have worked as a private tutor for 2 years now. My main experience is with GCSE and A-Level students, but I have also worked with GCSE prep and also taught English as a foreign language alongside academic tuition.

My first port of call is always to establish the students goals, strengths and weaknesses. There is no “one size fits all approach” to learning, especially with a subject like English, so gaining an understanding of where my student is
and where they want to be is essential. Secondly, I make a detailed plan for each lesson and what will be achieved each week, and make sure to use a variety of resources to keep the lessons engaging.
