About Grace
I am an experienced and caring teacher with a 1st Class degree in Geography from the University of Nottingham, an MPhil in Geographical Research from the University of Cambridge, and a Distinction in my PGCE. I love tutoring because I can create a bespoke education for each learner.

I take time to get to know how each individual learns, which means my sessions are friendly, flexible, and engaging, whilst always being goal-orientated. Lessons typically last an hour, and my teaching style is warm, academically robust and grounded in up-to-date research. I have taught history, geography, and English at a prep school, and, as former Head of Humanities there, enjoy forging links across disciplines to build a thorough understanding of a topic. I believe this makes content more meaningful for children, as it fosters independent thinking.
I have taught pupils with a very wide range of abilities and prepared them for senior school entrance exams. With three years’ experience at an SEN school, I take pride in removing barriers to learning and making education enjoyable at all levels. Above all, I make sure pupils feel secure in what they know already, where they are heading next, and how they are going to achieve it.
