Qualifications
MA Global Political Economy (UoL), Distinction, with 75% in dissertation.
BSc Economics and Politics (UoM and UQ), First Class, with 76% in dissertation.
A-Levels: Psychology (A*), English Literature (A), Mathematics and Statistics (B).
I have two years experience tutoring A-Level students. I achieved the highest grades in Psychology and English Literature at A-Level in my year. Following this, I was asked to return to my sixth form to tutor students. My papers were used as model answers so exam technique under time pressure is a particular strength of mine. I have gone on to achieve my undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, where I obtained extensive experience of essay writing and extended project writing (dissertations, publications etc).
I first get to know the student by finding out what they want to gain from the tutoring. I centre each lesson around a particular topic suggested by the student. I craft personalised revision strategies, drill exam technique and monitor progression through assessments. Some sessions I am happy to simply explain and go through in detail particular topics/ areas of concern.
Level: GCSE, A-Level or university students.
Lesson length: 30-60mins depending on student.
