About Giuseppe
After having obtained the scientific maturity and the three-year degree in Philosophy, I specialized in Philosophical Sciences at the University of Catania, obtaining full marks and honors. During my years of study I have deepened the salient features of Western philosophical thought, focusing in particular on Ancient and Medieval Philosophy. Among my interests there is also the history of science, especially for its intersections with philosophical reflection.

For a building to be stable, there must be a solid foundation; the same principle applies to study in general and, above all, to philosophy. For this reason, it is my concern to constantly recall the historical-conceptual background within which the thought of an author develops, explaining what are the sources from which he draws and the reasoning - as well as the existential motivations - that lead him to certain reflections ; Plato would not be fully understood without knowing sophistry, just as it would be limiting to study Schopenhauer without having a clear understanding of Kant. My lessons are designed to strengthen the knowledge of the concepts and the links between them, of the purely philosophical vocabulary, of the minimum knowledge to understand an author, as well as to stimulate interest in the study of the subject through an attentive approach to the experience of each thinker. For these reasons, the direct reading of some passages from the works of the philosophers is essential and - I can assure you - extremely satisfying :) I turn to high school students to help them in the study of Philosophy and History and to middle school students as far as History is concerned. I also offer help with drafting / proofreading of term papers and projects.
