About Benjamin
I was born in Tennessee, raised between Florida and Louisiana, attended LSU for undergraduate studies, received my MFA from The New School of New York, and am now enrolled at USF pursuing my PhD in hopes of becoming an English professor. Outside of academic work, I'm also a fiction writer. Before I became interested in pursuing a professorship, I was a director and editor in the documentary film world.

The curriculum will always be based around your needs. In the past, I have invited students to bring the text that their teacher has assigned along with any classwork/homework so that I can 1. make sure that I understand what the student needs to be successful in their class and 2. identify their individual strengths and weaknesses that can then be addressed moving forward. Other times, I have worked with students who were working on college admission essays and needed guidance regarding certain essay prompts and formatting distinctions. In short, my lesson plan is whatever you need in order to best serve your academic development or collegiate aspirations.
