About Anton
I have quite a diverse background in various areas. I am currently working towards my master’s degree and PhD in Psychology. I hold an undergraduate degree in political science, geography, and educational psychology . In my final year I wrote a thesis on human nature and whether or not depression is inherent in human beings.
Professionally, I do public speaking, podcasting, and am currently employed by Stuart Shanker, professor emeritas of psychology & philosophy at York University and the CEO of The Mehrit Centre. In the past I have worked as a tour guide at Lakehead University, an all ages swimming instructor, an adventure guide at Blue Mountain, a camp counsellor & lifeguard at Camp Muskoka, and several other vocations.
Personally, I enjoy Jiu Jitsu, exercise and nutrition, reading, playing guitar, and "disconnecting" in nature. My main areas of interest include quantum physics, psychology, and philosophy.

The first thing I do is I take some time to connect with my students and understand where they are at and where they would like to be. I am a very patient teacher (I have taught five year old's how to swim) and I do my best to meet each student where they are at. My teaching methods are based around mentorship and the understanding of how all concepts are interconnected. My main goal when teaching is to have students truly understand how to apply what they are learning to their lives rather than have students memorize information they will forget in two weeks.
While I have no problem teaching students of all ages, I excel at teaching and mentoring students in High School and College/University as I have found them to be the most open and drawn to the concepts I specialise in.
Students are the next generation of society; therefore, I do my best to make sure they excel in life.
