About Farinola
I am a literary and cultural critic who specialises in the use of Philosophical theories and Computational Approaches to Textual Analysis of literary corpus. I concentrate on the use of data-based and algorithm powered methods in exploring the intersection between themes that cut across 20th century Western and African Philosophy and Literature. I am also interested in contemporary computational methods including Machine Learning, Named Entity Recognition, Semantic Data, Topic Modelling, and various Textual Analysis Technologies.

I am a patient, compassionate, imaginative, sensitive, and broad-minded person – and these are the top five characteristics that will make me a good teacher. Being patient with slow students is very important for me to carry everyone along in my class. It takes an imaginative mind to picture ahead what and how to teach a topic, and to design the sort of practical demonstrations needed for teaching each session.
