About Gaspar

I’ve been playing drums for over 25 years and working professionally for the past 20. I hold a First Class degree in Jazz and have performed in a wide range of musical styles. My career has taken me around the world on international tours, and I now work from my own fully equipped studio, where I continue to record and collaborate with artists across genres.

About the lesson

I’m comfortable teaching everyone from complete beginners to advanced players, and I tailor my approach to suit each student’s needs and learning style. Some students prefer a relaxed pace with space to explore and work things out, while others thrive with a more structured approach — I’m happy to adapt accordingly. I use a range of my own worksheets and examples to support lessons, and while I place strong emphasis on developing music reading skills, I also draw on a variety of other methods. Above all, I focus on training the ear — one of the most important tools for any musician.

Perfect! Gaspar is a great drum teacher who's skill and versatility allow him to adapt his teaching to whatever style of drumming you're interested in. His patience and ability to convey ideas mean that I've learnt a great deal from my lessons and I'd recommend him to drummers of all skills levels. He's also willing to travel to you which is a big plus.
