About Andy
I'm Andy! My education consisted of creative writing, literature, film practice, and film history/theory. My undergraduate degree was in Cinema and Media Arts with a minor in English and my masters was in Film Studies. Since then I have taught courses and lectures related to literature, writing, film history, and film production. I also am an award winning writer whose works have been published in magazines around the world.
With my background I have a holistic and far ranging understanding of literature and creative writing. I am here whether you need support with understanding a book you have to read, writing a book analysis, crafting poems, and much more!

I take my experiences of teaching and art making into my tutoring sessions. Learning about film should be fun and inspiring. I believe in guiding and empowering the students to discover the answers themselves. I create discussion based and, if applicable, mutli-media sessions where authentic discussion is key and the students' interaction is an integral part of our time together. There is nothing like seeing students connect the artistic content they are interacting with in the classroom to their own lives outside the classroom.
