About Maja
I am a Political Science major and Law & Society minor at UBC. I am an executive member of the debate society at the University of British Columbia who has been coaching debate casually and professionally for 7 years. I also compete in varsity debate most recently ranking at Cambridge, Oxford and North American Debating Championships. While in high school I coached my own school's team allowing us to triumph regionals and claim top school in the region. Under my guidance 40 first-time debaters were introduced to the tournament environment and coached to succeed. I am familiar with all debate styles as well as Model United Nations and am available to coach online in any timezone or in person in the Lower Mainland.

I firmly believe that one cannot be a successful debater unless they enjoy it, so first and foremost it is important to me that all of my students enjoy the lessons. I am adaptable and can work with any level of debate ability. Lessons will be structured with seminars on content and strategy and feedback for speeches.
