About Ned
My name’s Ned, I am at Durham University and I work as a preceptor at the John Locke Institute. I enjoy teaching enormously, and take great pride in seeing my students develop both, obviously, on the academic side of things, but also in how they learn.

My particular specialism is in Socratic dialogue based teaching. I believe that you have to understand what you’re doing to be able to talk/write about it in lessons and exams, so I focus on questioning and quizzing the students. Having been a preceptor for the John Locke Institute, I am well suited to the role.
