About Jock
I am a Maths Faculty Monash Uni Staff member, Mechanical Engineering (Honours) Student, and placed top 2% in the State for VCE General (Further) Maths and I have been tutoring General Maths for 3 years. I would like to add that math can be an easy subject for anyone, through learning ideas and methods of solving that connect with your own ways of problem solving. So I aim to explain things in a way that makes sense to a student and hopefully make math simple and enjoyable.

Online lessons only, for convenience regarding students to ensure minimal time wastage when studying,. I will run over content, provide practice questions, exam tips and tricks. And go over common mistakes, as well as challenge conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts and ideas. I also keep my lessons fun (despite my terrible puns)

When being tutored by Jock, the environment was very friendly and accepting. You were allowed to make mistakes without feeling ashamed. Helped alot towards my development.
Before i started with Jock i was really struggling with the basics of vce math. after not long at all i had a much greater understanding and felt like I was improving my skills quickly. Thanks to Jock i went into year 12 general math feeling prepared and ready for the content ahead. Would definitely recommend him as a tutor
From the first session Jock made me feel so comfortable and made the sessions enjoyable whether it was explaining an answer or having a quick 30 second sidetrack to talk about daily life, he created a productive environment that I could trust to develop in.
Great with communicating, makes content easier to understand.
Jock is an amazing teacher and really knows his stuff, despite new topics coming up he is able to learn it quick and really well which is very impressive. Throughout the lessons they are not only insightful but also very fun and entertaining as he is a little goofball sometimes
